I can break just about anything if I put my mind to it! I managed to break the beaker I use to test my wine today when the Hydrometer slipped out of my wet hand and cracked the bottom of the beaker. In turn, sending 100ml of Mead all over my freshly cleaned kitchen! I love mopping so much that I wanted to do it twice today!!! Luckily the Hydrometer didn't break. Which reminds me, I really need to get a back up!
I tasted some of the Mead I racked last week. I believe it has an %ABV equivalent to that of rocket fuel! We will be sitting on that a while!!!
I am completely over scheduled this week. More than usual. I am not sure how, but I managed to fit giving 1 presentation, teaching 2 classes, doing taxes for 2 people, watching a friend's children, getting my insurance estimate, attending a photography round table and 1 drum circle into the first FOUR days of this week. The weekend is busy too! I do enjoy everything I am doing (well, except for the insurance stuff) but....I am tired just looking at my planner!
It is amazing how TRASHED your house can get all because you buy a new TV. The new TV sits on a higher table so the picture above the TV had to be taken down. Since that is one of K's babies it had to find a new, prominent, home. Which meant something else had to come down. This basically led to me taking down ALL the art in the house and rehanging everything. If you have ever been here you know what kind of feat that was!! The stuff that got axed is still sitting on the dining room table. (Those aren't really meant for eating on like people keep telling me they are, right?) Then there is the box that is big enough for both children to stand up in that has been sitting in the livingroom for a week and the boxes for the new table and audio tower for the new monster TV..... You get the idea. I got a little medieval with a box cutter earlier and we now have a nice compact bundle of cardboard instead of the forest of boxes.
The condition of my desk has deteriorated to the point that I can no longer find ANYTHING. Must do something about that soon!
I just finished putting together the invitations for the boys birthday party and I am such a sap that I cried while doing it. (How girly is that! lol) My sweet little premie, who incidently I was never supposed to be able to have, is turning 10! T.E.N. When the hell did he turn 9 or 8 or 7??? And then there is my other darling little premie that will be turning 8. Maybe this will be the year he grows out of the terrible twos! LOL It is a little too much to comprehend at times!!!
I am working on a service for church that will take place in May on the wisdom and spirituality in the Wizard of Oz. I am really shocked by the number a books out there on this subject. I am in the process of reading a few. Quite interesting. It should be a great service, a bit unorthodox, but aren't they all when I lead! LOL And to think they still let me behind the podium!
OK, that's it for today...I must get back to work. Unless someone wants to call and distract me! LOL Just kidding (not really, please distract me. I don't want to mop up Mead!!!!!)
